The Acorns Personal plan ($3 a month) does not include Mighty Oak Banking but does come with an Acorns Visa debit card. Monthly charges are waived for Mighty Oak users who make a monthly direct deposit of at least $250. Accounts at every tier include a round-up feature that puts your spare change toward investments, free Allpoint ATM access and rewards for shopping with Acorns retail partners. The Mighty Oak debit card and banking benefits are included with the Personal Plus ($5 per month) and Premium ($9 per month) subscription tiers. “I’ve been there and know what it’s like to count every dollar and save every cent possible.” Now a fixture in the “Fast and Furious” and “Jumanji” movie franchises, Johnson said he hopes the new card empowers people to “take control of their financial well-being,” according to a news release. At one point, when unemployed in his 20s, Johnson had just $7 to his name.
